BEST SKI GOGGLES FOR WINTER CONDITIONS 2022

Everyone loves a good ski season, and gearing up with the best gear possible will make it that much more enjoyable. Whether it’s your first time down the bunny slopes, a seasoned park rat, or backcountry legend, being able to see clearly is almost as important as breathing. However, finding the best pair of polarized ski goggles can be a bit daunting in a sea of bad products. At Humps Optics, we spent 2 seasons developing our snowboard goggles to work in all conditions. From sunny bluebird days to complete whiteout conditions our snowboard goggles never fogged up. Pretty amazing in negative 40C weather when other top brands’ lenses were icing over. So, let’s dive in and see what makes our polarized ski goggles the best in the biz…

Our Trademark Mag-Tech Lens Design

It’s not uncommon for most of the best snowboard goggles for 2022 to come with dual lenses. One is used for sunny bluebird days and comes with a dark tint along with polarization and UV400 protection. The second lens is typically of a yellow tint along with polarization and UV400 protection. This yellow tint (also used by fighter pilots) let’s your vision cut through cloudy and white out conditions. Cool story right, but what sets us apart from the rest? Well, we utilize our Mag-Tech system which allows magnets to lock the lens into the goggle frame. While virtually impossible to come off when being worn, changing between our two lenses can be done in seconds with just one hand! No more need to take a break in the lodge to annoyingly pop out your lenses on traditional frames. With our system you can literally change your lens anywhere on the mountain!

Ski Goggle Lens - Anti Fog and Anti Glare Protection

One of the reasons our ski goggle lenses can handle extreme temperatures has to do with our dual lens technology that requires extra attention to the foam sealing process. This foam seal between 2 lenses, along with proper ventilation ports, is what’s so vital in preventing ski goggles from fogging up. If there is any leak in the seal then water vapor can enter – causing one hell of a vision problem. Ok, so we got the anti-fog covered. We also put special attention into the polarization and UV400 coatings to keep your eyes fresh and sharp during the gnarliest sunny days.

Snowboard Goggle Frame – Vented and Comfy

Another key aspect in the search for the best ski goggles is a frame that vents well, stays in place, and remains comfy all day long. Our frame rubber is designed to handle all temperature extremes and the vents allow your face heat to escape will keeping the winter elements at bay. Paired with our 3 layer foam padding you’ll be as comfy as a baby in its crib. Another key feature is our 3 layer rubber anti slip coating on all of our goggle straps. No more will you worry about your strap slipping and moving around your noggin! Yes, we thought of everything ;)

Ski Goggles – Wide Frame vs Standard Frame

As we know quite well with our sunglasses, everyone has a unique face shape and size. And when looking for the best polarized ski goggles for 2022 there are a few key decisions to make. Do you prefer to wear a beanie or helmet? Do you prefer a bubble style goggle lens or flat goggle lens? Is your noggin on the smaller side, about normal, or a bit bigger? Now that you’ve answered the key questions, let’s look at our two snowboard goggle frames and see what’s best for you.

Polarized Bubble Lens Snowboard Goggle

These babies were designed with an oversized goal in mind. They are perfect for an average to slightly larger head and work wonderfully with or without a helmet. The wide goggle frame and polarized bubble lens creates a huge field of vision. The 3 layer foam padding does a sweet job at sealing out the elements and we were shocked they didn’t fog up in -40C backcountry weather! Obviously, they come with dual lenses and a badass travel case.

Polarized Flat Lens Snowboard Goggle

If you’re looking for a more traditional size ski goggle then here ya go! We designed these for an average size face that also works perfectly for those with a smaller/slimmer face shape. They integrate well with most all helmets and are the perfect size if you prefer a beanie. The flat lens is all the rage right now and these bad boys come fully polarized with UV400 protection. With 2 lenses to pick from and hard case for traveling, let your worries go and the smiles shine!

Quality vs Price

Similar to sunglasses and aligned with our mission – we worked our butts off to create the highest quality ski goggles possible while offering them at a price we’d want to pay. There is a huge range in ski goggle prices, from cheap and crazy expensive. Cheap snowboard goggles don’t work and crazy expensive ski goggles are simply charging for the brand image. We set out to beat the most expensive brands in quality but offer our Humps Optics ski goggles at an affordable price. Don’t waste your time with cheap ski goggles that won’t even make it a full season. And don’t get fooled by expensive brand marketing. If you need further proof of the quality of our polarized snowboard goggles then look no further to the tons of reviews on each product page! We have tons of sweet colorways to match your style and vibe! Check em’ out!
