ECO FRIENDLY FAQ’s
WHY DID WE DECIDE TO BE AN ECO-FRIENDLY SUNGLASSES COMPANY?
Our founder spent a lot of time exploring the world surfing and discovering the non-tourist parts of cultures. He hated seeing the trash in the oceans, rivers, and beaches – typically some form of plastic. This cemented a goal in his mind to do what he could to reduce the environmental footprint of Humps. From our packaging to the materials in our frames, we aim to use upcycled and recycled materials wherever possible… without sacrificing quality or durability. That is why our polarized sunglasses are not only built tough, but feel comfy and lightweight. Feel better wearing any of our sweet for sunglasses for men or sunglasses for women and look sweet rockin’ em!
WHERE DOES THE RECYCLED PLASTIC COME FROM?
Most all of our recycled plastic is sourced from the US, our home country. We figured the best place to start is in our own backyard. We have worked hard to create an efficient ecosystem between our recycler and manufacturer to ensure the best quality products for our customers. Whether it’s mens polarized sunglasses or womens polarized sunglasses you’re after, we likely have the style for you…
ARE RECYCLED PLASTIC SUNGLASSES DURABLE AND STRONG?
Ohhh yea they are! Just take a look at any of our destruction test videos. We’ve shot them with paintball guns and fireworks, ran them over with 4x4s and golf carts, and threw them off an 80ft cliff… just to name a few. Designed for flexibility and durability, the plastics we use are strong and lightweight, creating a secure and comfy fit on your noggin. ECO FRIENDLY SUNGLASSES FOR MEN AND WOMEN
Most all of our frame shapes and styles are designed with a uni-sex mentality. The most important thing is to find the shape that fits your face the best. Our Size Guide is a great place to start.
